Apple updates Clips with Memoji, Animoji, more Mickey, Minnie

The app, which focuses on making short videos & # 39; s, now offers support for Memoji and Animoji characters and more.

Animoji, Memoji, and and some Selfie Scenes features require Phone or iPad Pro with TrueDepth camera. They also integrate with other functions of Clips.

For those unfamiliar with the Clips app, it’s a video editing app that lets users combine video clips, images, and photos with voice-based titles, stickers, music, filters, and graphics to create unique videos that can be shared on social media.

Touted in a new post to the Newsroom, Apple says: “With this update, Memoji created and customized in the Messages app on iOS will automatically appear in Clips”.

Animoji characters can even be changed to a video after it has already been recorded. Animated stickers and emoji now follow the movements of a user’s face using the front camera of the iPhone and iPad. The update also brings all-new stickers featuring Disney’s Mickey and Minnie Mouse and a new winter-themed poster just in time for the holidays. This newest version of the Clips app includes support for new languages – specifically right-to-left languages including Hebrew and Arabic. It is free to download.
